About Us

We are a specialized school that goes beyond traditional cosmetology education, placing a strong emphasis on braiding, textured hair training, wig making and texture etiquette.

We strive to educate you where they didn’t. Our curriculum focuses on areas most cosmetology schools do not cover to equip our students with skills to style all hair textures and types. We are dismantling historical discrimination against textured hair and teaching relevant knowledge to create a more promising future in the beauty and hair industry.

Founder

Anne Juliette is a Haitian-American hairstylist, textured hair specialist, and industry leader with over a decade of experience in television, film, commercial, and live production. Known for her versatility and expertise across all hair textures, Anne delivers camera-ready hair that honors both artistry and hair integrity.
Born in Dondon, Haiti, and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Anne’s journey is rooted in resilience, faith, and vision. A graduate of the historic HBCU Alabama A&M University, she later earned her cosmetology license through the Aveda Institute before stepping out on faith and relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, where her career in film, television, and entertainment began to flourish. Anchored in the belief that her gifts make room for her and place her in the presence of greatness, Anne has continued to walk confidently in purpose and excellence ever since.
Anne has since become a trusted hairstylist across major productions, working in environments where speed, excellence, discretion, and technical mastery are essential. Her credits include projects with Netflix, ABC, CBS, CW, Bravo, Amazon Studios, Lifetime, and more. Her work can be seen on productions such as FUBAR, General Hospital, All American/Homecoming, Coming to America 2, Celebrity Big Brother, Real Housewives of Atlanta, and numerous national commercials, beauty campaigns, and music videos.
As a Union 706 Special Skills roster stylist, Anne is highly skilled in continuity, quick changes, wig making and ventilating, braiding, extensions, period styles, and men’s grooming. In addition to her on-set work, Anne has collaborated with major beauty brands including Aveda, Paul Mitchell, Nike, Google, Target, Hourglass Cosmetics, Haus Labs, and The Doux. Her expertise extends beyond styling into education, diversity consulting, and team leadership, having managed salons and led teams of 15+ stylists.
Recognizing a persistent lack of education around textured hair—particularly braiding, wigs, and styling Black talent in professional productions—Anne founded Textured Queens Hair Academy in 2019. The academy was created to eliminate excuses within the beauty and entertainment industries and to equip stylists with the technical and cultural competence required to work on all textures confidently and respectfully
Anne is currently based in Los Angeles, California, and is available for private clients, celebrity styling, red-carpet events, television and film productions, editorial shoots, brand campaigns, and consulting. She is also pursuing a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship at USC Marshall School of Business, further strengthening her impact as both a creative and a founder.
